THE administration of
Governor Art C. Yap and Vice
Governor Rene L. Relampagos in Bohol has given assistance to individuals in crisis
situations and financial assistance to Boholanos affected by Covid-19.
The financial and service
assistance to individuals in
crisis include: P19.275 million cash for 9,599 individuals; medical, P16.392 million
for 7,664 individuals; burial,
P2 million for 604 beneficiaries; supportive devices,
P260,450 for 93 persons;
and food, P521,480 for 1,180
The financial assistance for Boholanos hit by
Covid-19 are: P26.850 million for 13,284 offshore Boholanos; 10 kilos of rice each
to 19,914 displaced tourism
workers; eight kilos of rice
each for 365,960 families;
P5.249 million cash from
Province-led Panghanapbuhay Para sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers
(TUPAD) with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) to 1,193 beneficiaries; and P2 million cash
for work for 500 agricultural
workers under “Kita sa Kakugi” program.
The other Covid-19 assistance comprised are: 7,200
pieces of Personal Protective
Equipment (PPE) for provincial frontliners; 11,600
kits for rapid testing to Local
Government Units (LGUs);
7,327 kits for PCR test administered by Bohol Containerized PCR Laboratory;
11,404 beds to municipal
quarantine centers; and 176
beds to provincial quarantine center.
The Bohol Provincial
Government also assisted
about 35,036 returning Locally Stranded Individuals
(LSIs), 11,032 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), and
123 Authorized Persons Outside Residence (APOR).
In the Part 1 of the
Year-End Report 2020, the
Yap-Relampagos administration released Covid-19 statistics (as of Dec. 26, 2020)
with 793 total confirmed cases, 18 active cases, 759 recoveries, and 16 deaths. ELIAS O.
