Philippine Red Cross Bakuna Bus vaccinates BJMP Talisay

THE Philippine Red Cross (PRC) rolls out its Bakuna Bus to the Bureau of Jail Management And Penology (BJMP) of Talisay, Cebu to inoculate 820 inmates last August 28,2021.

PRC Cebu through the directive of Sen. Dick Gordon, mobilized two doctors, 15 nurses, and 25 medical allied to conduct the vaccination of the inmates.

“Kahit ang mga nasa kulungan ay nararapat at kailangan mabigyan ng proper health care through vaccination. Alam naman natin na sa piitan ay dikit dikit ang mga tao kaya dapat agad na mabakunahan upang maiwasan ang malalang sakit,” according to PRC Chairman and CEO Sen. Dick Gordon.

The PRC Cebu Chapter has already administered to over 3,325 doses of vaccines. “No one should be left behind,” Chairman Gordon strongly reiterated as he mentions that our war against COVID-19 is a collective effort.

The Philippine Red Cross Bakuna Bus programs is first in the country to accommodate detainees and persons deprived of liberties under the care of the BJMP. Before the Cebu BJMP jabbing operations, PRC has already jabbed more than 500 BJMP detainees in Navotas. PR
