THE Cebu City Government is set to release a total
of P277 million in financial
assistance beginning Friday, May 13, 2022, four
days after the national and
Mare Vae Reyes of the
City Treasurer’s Office said
that around 49,000 individuals will receive cash aid
from the City.
Reyes said this will include the aid intended for
the victims of Typhoon
Odette (Rai) and recent
fire incidents, beneficiaries of Tabang Alang sa
Panginabuhian sa atong
Trabahante (Tapat) program, economic stimulus
recipients, and octogenarian beneficiaries.
The regular honorarium of barangay health
workers will also be rolled
out together with that for the beneficiaries of the special program for the education of students.
According to Reyes,
the City is now finalizing
the list of the beneficiaries
and completing the necessary documents so that the
scheduled distribution will
push through on Friday.

Wednesday, reelected Mayor Michael Rama said all
offices will help in the distribution of the cash aid.
“I am telling my staff,
I am telling all members
of city hall officialdom, including me, including those
in the air-conditioned (offices). We will all go out
and be part of the massive
distribution,” said Rama.
