Vaccination resumes in Cebu City

ELECTIONS finally over, vaccination against COVID-19 has resumed in Cebu City Health Department in different vaccination sites. CHD officer-in-charge, Dr. Jeffrey Ibones, said they are resuming the vaccination in their regular site.

Existing regular vaccination sites include the one at the Cebu City Hall, SM Seaside City Cebu, SM City Cebu, Robison’s Galleria, UC Banilad, NOAH, IT Park with the additional of Il Corso.

Pop-up sites will also return via the continuation of in-school vaccination together with the Department of Education. According to Dr. Ibones, they already have a schedule given to the DepEd Cebu City Dr. Ibones said they are also giving priority to those who are due for their second dose but missed their schedules due to series of activities leading to the elections.

Although Cebu City had already vaccinated over 900,000 individuals, there are still around 2,000 to 3,000 individuals that show up for vaccination especially when there are pop up sites. Majority of the vaccines right now are under the pediatric population although there are still some adults that are on its first and second dose yet.

Dr. Ibones is hopeful that the city government will be able to keep its COVID-19 cases very low, but also hopes the Cebuanos will not be complacent in following the minimum health protocols set.
