TEMPORARY WASTE TRANSFER FACILITY

THE Cebu City government is considering temporarily transporting the city's garbage to other areas following access problems at the Barangay Binaliw landfill.

This developed after the bridge leading to the facility was damaged by the recent typhoon.

City Hall is exploring alternative solutions to its garbage disposal woes while repairs on the bridge are ongoing.

Among the options being studied is partnering with shipping agencies to haul waste to DENR-accredited landfills outside the city.
