THE Cebu Electricity Rights Advocates (CERA) has urged power distributors and energy regulators to take decisive reform measures.
It was noted that the recent calamities exposed what is assessed to be a growing vulnerability in the Visayas power grid.
This has been the call of CERA convenor Nathaniel Chua who stressed that every major disaster underscores the capacity to balance the three pillars of a sustainable energy future, environmental sustainability, equity and security.
Chua added that grid resilience is both a technological challenge and a matter of social justice.
