My First Work Experience During the Pandemic

During the pandemic, life changed for everyone, including me. While I was focused on my modules and schoolwork at home, I also had the chance to try working for the first time. I helped out in small tasks, like slicing ingredients for meals and preparing items for delivery. One of our deliveries was to offices, such as Julie’s Bakery, where I got to see how products were sent out to customers.

I also helped with cleaning, making sure the place was tidy and organized. At first, it was a bit overwhelming since it was my first time experiencing a real working environment. But as I continued, I realized how fulfilling it felt. Even though my contributions were small, I knew I was helping my family, and that feeling made the hard work worth it.

This experience taught me the value of teamwork, responsibility, and the joy of lending a helping hand. More than just the tasks themselves, what made it special was knowing that I could support my family while learning something new at the same time.
