BACOLOD City officials have formally requested the national government to expand the number of beneficiaries for the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4PSs) starting in 2026.
They argue that the current allocation no longer matches the city's growing population and economic challenges.
They stressed such challenges are migration, underemployment and rising living costs.
Their request aims to address urban poverty, especially in densely populated areas.
