VICE GUV ASSAILS INSERTIONS IN NATIONAL BUDGET

CEBU Vice Gov. Glenn Anthony Soco has strongly assailed the questionable "bicam insertions" in the 2026 national budget.

He stressed such practice should be eradicated as they fuel corruption, undermine the budget process and erode public trust in government.

Soco explained that budgetary insertions pushed through bicameral conferences and small committee meetings defeat the purpose of the budgetary system.

"Such system is designed to ensure transparency and accountability," the vice governor added.
