THERE is a call for Malacañang to set aside P5B for the upgrading of ports across Cebu.
Cebu Provincial Board Member Lakambini Reluya has filed a resolution on this, stressing that maritime transport is now a critical solution to worsening road congestion and a driver for stronger commerce and tourism.
Reluya, chair of the board's committee on commerce and industry, stressed the rehabilitation of ports would cover both small and big ports, many of which are in dire need of modernization.
