VATICAN'S MOVE AGAINST CLERGY ABUSE

POPE Leo XIV has appointed a French archbishop as the new leader of the Vatican's Commission on Clergy Sexual Abuse.

This is his first move to confront an issue that damaged the Catholic Church's credibility.

The Pope named Archbishop Thibault Verny as president of the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors.
