BUSINESS NAME REGISTRATIONS DOWN
BUSINESS name registrations and renewals filed at the Department of Trade and Industry fell by nearly a tenth in July.
Activities slowed in major sectors including retail, accommodation, manufacturing and real estate.
Data showed that listings in July dropped from 87,000 to 79,000 recorded in the same month a year ago.
This indicates an 8-9% drop.
