PROBES ON TOWN MAYOR'S ACTUATION

THE Commission on Human Rights 7 is pursuing two separate investigations relating to Dumanjug Mayor Guntrano Gica's actuation in striking the father of a cyberpornography victim.

The agency said while the mayor's conduct is under review, it is also handling a distinct case against the couple accused of exploiting their minor child.

The incident involving Gica happened on August 19, 2025.

The Philippines stressed it will continue consultations with the view of clarifying matters.
