THE General Alliance of Workers Association has officially appealed to the regional wage board in Western Visayas for a significant increase in the minimum wage for private sector employees.
The push for a wage adjustment stems from the current economic conditions in Western Visayas.
The group emphasized that due to inflation,vthevworkers' purchasing power has been severely eroded, while their wages have failed to keep with the rising costs of goods and services.
