ESCUDERO SUBMITS EXPLANATION TO COMELEC

THE camp of former Senate President Chiz Escudero has submitted to the Commission on Elections his explanation regarding the potentially prohibited campaign contributions of Lawrence Lubiano during the May 2022 elections.

Lubiano is the president of Centerways & Development Corporation.

Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia has confirmed that Escudero filed his explanation before the poll body's Political Finance and Affairs Department.

As for releasing PBBM's SALN, Remulla said he was assured by the President of the freedom to perform his work as an Ombudsman.
