THE Supreme Court has accepted the manifestation of the Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) to represent the Marcos government in the petition filed by detained former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte and Sen. Ronald Dela Rosa.
The OSG shall resume its role as counsel for the government -respondent in the case.
The OSG previously declined to represent the Marcos government in the habeas corpus petition filed by both Duterte and Dela Rosa.
At the same time, the OSG asked the Supreme Court to deny Dela Rosa's temporary restraining order against a possible International Criminal Court arrest warrant issued against him.
