POPE LEO'S CALL ON VENEZUELA
POPE Leo XIV is calling for the good of all Venezuelans to prevail, for the rule of law to be upheld and for the human and civil rights of all to be respected.
The Holy Father expressed his sentiments and concern over developments in Venezuela whose president Nicolas Maduro was abducted by American troops upon Pres. Donald Trump's order.
"The good of Venezuelans must prevail over other considerations and lead us to
overcome violence and to undertake paths of justice and peace while safeguarding the country's sovereignty," the Pontiff stressed.
He called on all people to pray for Venezuela, assuring them of his own prayer for the nation.
