POPE Leo XIV has appointed an Australia-based Filipino priest as auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Perth.
Bishop-elect Nelson Po will assist Archbishop Timothy John Costelloe alongside Auxiliary Bishop Donald George Sproxton.
The Holy See announced that Bishop-elect Po was assigned the titular see of Agunto.
The Pinoy bishop, 57, expressed his readiness to take on the new designation.
