Twist of Fate

It's pretty hard not to feel for our mayor, Nestor Archival, with everything that’s been hitting our city back-to-back. Just when we were starting to get back on our feet after that huge earthquake in Cebu, Typhoon Tino swooped in and caused some major flooding in Barangay Bacayan, leaving a lot of families in total chaos. Now, on top of that, we’re dealing with the awful Binaliw Landfill incident where over 28 people are still missing and eight have tragically lost their lives.

You really can’t help but think if this is just bad luck or some cruel twist of fate. But right now, it’s not about blaming anyone or worrying about what's meant to happen. Our city leaders, especially Mayor Archival, need our support more than ever. We’re all in the same boat here, facing these struggles as one big community. It’s our time to come together. Instead of throwing shade, let’s back our leaders and help them figure out how to get us through this. We’re not just neighbors—we’re a community, and together, we can overcome these tough times.
