TRAVELERS often face uncertainty when booking domestic flights, unsure if the ticket prices they encounter are fair or artificially inflated.
To combat this ambiguity and bring clarity to travel costs, tourism officials are pushing for a new mechanism to shed light on airline pricing structure.
Tourism Sec. Christina Garcia-Frasco announced a proposal for the monthly publication of an airfare price for index.
She emphasized that this index would allow the public to track and compare airline ticket costs across various destinations.
