PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is ready to face any impeachment complaint.
Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the President maintains a high regard for the Constitution and due process.
Castro made the assurance following claims made by House Senior Deputy Minority Leader Edgar Erice.
He alleged that lawmakers allied with Vice President Sara Duterte are planning to file an impeachment complaint against Marcos for betrayal of public trust regarding the 2023-2025 national budgets.
Erice also noted plans to refile impeachment complaints against Duterte once the one-year constitutional ban on such proceedings expires.
Castro explained Marcos remains confident in his relationship with Congress.
